Bihar Election 2020 Icon Pushpam Priya Chaudhary: Recently, in numerous Hindi and English newspapers in Bihar, a two-page advertisement was published. The ad brings quite a lot of discussion amongst the masses. It contains a woman with a background in front of a bookcase with the caption “You focus on lighting the ladder and let’s deal with the snakes”.

The woman in Black is Pushpam Priya Choudhary. Pushpam Priya Choudhary has announced her aim to challenge JDU supremo Nitish Kumar in the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections. She is here to challenge the inept and fewer incompetent politicians of Bihar and will contest the election. She appealed, through her party’s website, to young people to support and join her to challenge the system.

Her party is called PLURALS which she does not call just a party but a revolution. The party is based on the idea that each life is important and has the right to be treated as an end in itself and not just as an unfortunate obligation.

She is the daughter of Former Janata Dal-united (JDU) MLC Vinod Choudhary, who is a close compatriot of Nitish Kumar from his Samata Party days. Pushpam did her schooling from the Holy Cross Missionary School of Darbhanga.

She holds an MA in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, UK, and a Master of Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science , United Kingdom. She had taken a promise to convert Bihar into Europe by 2030. The advertisement circulated in the papers specifies Pushpam as ‘President, Plurals and CM Candidate in Bihar 2020’.

“Plurals” is here for a positive policy and doesn’t trust the reactionary policy that has damaged the plan of genuine improvement in this nation,” says the Party’s website.

Saraswati Padmanabhan has been delegated as the public representative i.e., National Spokesperson of PLURALS while Akash Mehta has been appointed as the CEO and world representative i.e., Global Spokesperson.

Pushpam was in London for a long time. Since she moved there for her studies, she hardly came home other than several occasions.

Pushpam Priya’s Twitter handle reveals that she had been hinting that she planned to enter the fray in the Bihar assembly polls from November 2019.

In the ad, Pushpam Priya promises that if she becomes chief minister, Bihar will become the most developed state in the country by 2025. Pushpam Priya guarantees to transform Bihar into the most evolved state in the nation by 2025 as stated in the advertisements.

Her Father’s Response

When he spoke about his daughter’s choice to challenge the Assembly election and contest it, Vinod Choudhary said that she is an adult and educated and that it’s her choice.

Obviously the Party won’t keep her in case she is challenging the highest leader of the party, he added.
