The following latest updates 2 America: Coming 2 America is all set to release on amazon prime video in March. There is great news for viewers, Eddie Murphy returns as Prince Akeem Joffer, the Prince of Zamunda.

The sequel is all set to return to the viewer after a long hiatus following the release event of the first film in 1988. The most loved part about the film is the return of Murphy as Akeem, for his role in the original film he’s among the best comedians of the start and was the most loved at that time.

The sequel to Eddie Murphy’s comedy Coming 2 America has received an MPAA certificate which means that this follow-up won’t be as raunchy as its predecessor.

According to IMDB, the show was rated PG-13 for its rough and sexual material, language and substance content. In comparison, the original Coming to America was rated R for vocabulary, sexual references, and a few nudity.

Although the rating is a departure from the original Coming to America, the MPAA rating of Coming 2 America is consistent with Eddie Murphy vehicles of another day. Except for Dolemite is My Name, each one of the 21st century Murphy star vehicles has been rated either PG or PG-13.

Coming 2 America will also break away from its predecessor, being released on a streaming channel rather than in theaters. Paramount was initially expected to release Coming 2 America theatrically in December 2020, but as a result of the continuous coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Paramount sold Coming to 2 America to Amazon in a deal estimated to be worth up to $125 million .

The show will be the second-to-last sequel to an older hit comedy to stream on Amazon Prime after the Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, which debuted on Amazon in October.

Coming 2 America Plot and Casts:

The story is about prince Murphy who is about to become the king of Zamunda, meantime, he learns that his son is in America (Jermaine Fowler). His father’s dying wish is that he wants to find his son and prepare him to become the king of Zamunda.

the old cast returning together with Murphy are Arsenio Hall, John Amos, James Earl Jones, and Garcelle Beauvais. there are also some of the new characters that will join the film are Kiki Layne as The Old Guard, Leslie Jones, and Jermaine Fowler.
