It was the start of an iconic cinematic character called Wolverine that will endlessly remain iconic.

Since his debut twenty years ago, Wolverine aka Hugh Jackman has appeared in his own movie nine more times and fans have shown their love for him every time, but it appears to be it is getting too much now.

Back in 2017, after the release of the movie Logan, Hugh Jackman officially announced his retirement and said that he won’t ever appear in the role of Wolverine again, but the retirement was short-lived as he came back. Deadpool 2 next year itself.

Most fans were pleased with the way things ended with Wolverine but last year Jackman hinted at his return and fans had mixed feelings about it, Marvel fans were angry when Ryan Reynolds confirmed that Wolverine will be a part of Deadpool 3, fans felt that Wolverine’s death in the Logan movie was a perfect ending and fans do not want to see it go to waste.

But unfortunately, the damage was already done and the news was confirmed when the Deadpool 3 teaser was released. Now, James Mangold, who is the director of the movie Logan, recently gave an interview to Variety, where admitted that he’s not too happy about the return of Wolverine.

He later admitted that he knew that Wolverine would be back sometime in the future in a different form but his disagreement with the actual return was visible.

On the other hand, Hugh Jackman was receiving quite a lot of appreciation for putting in the work for his next role. Only time will tell how fans will react to the return of probably the most iconic characters in cinema history.
