Even although its live-action adaptations barely live up to Fullmetal Alchemist, recognized as one of the greatest manga and anime series of all time, Netflix will be completing its Fullmetal Alchemist The Final Alchemy library in September .
That’s because Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Alchemy, now known as Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Last Transmutation, will ultimately be available on Netflix streaming on September 24, three months after its Japanese premiere.
The Fullmetal Alchemist: The Revenge of Scar teaser was first released in April, well ahead of the film’s May release date in Japan, despite not appearing on Netflix until last week.
Both films are sequels to 2017’s Fullmetal Alchemist, the first live-action adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa’s works. However, neither film received an exceptionally positive response from either Japanese or Western audiences, with The Revenge of Scar receiving an audience score of 52% and a critic score of 5.3%.
In comparison, the first film received 28% from critics and 72% from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes (5.3 on IMDb).
The continuation of the new plot with up to 15 more characters is possibly the most significant addition to The Final Alchemy.
Fullmetal Alchemist Final Alchemy Release Date

Fullmetal Alchemist The Final Alchemy movie is prepared to release Netflix on 24 September 2022.
Which Fullmetal Alchemist anime, whether original 2003 or 2009 of Brotherhood, is the superior adaptation has already generated many discussions. But most fans tend to agree that these two are in a different category than live action movies.
The transition from anime to film can be difficult. Still, there are some excellent live-action anime movies, so there is no reason the Fullmetal Alchemist trilogy cannot appeal to some of its audience.
The original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, set in the video game universe by CD Projekt Red, will even be available on Netflix from September 13; this will not be the only anime to do this.
Additionally, episodes 13 to 23 of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean will air on September 1; finally, Pokemon: The Arceus Chronicles will debut on September 23rd.
Netflix has no intention of stopping producing adaptations despite its inability to win a considerable audience or the approval of anime lovers; a live-action Death Note series is also in the works with the writers of Stranger Things on board to produce it.
The same goes for the upcoming live-action One Piece series, which in itself creates a completely unique set of difficulties.
