Guardians of the Galaxy 3: Announcement of the Release Date!

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 was delayed longer than anticipated, but filming has now begun before the 2023 release.

James Gunn denied that the sequels would be delayed again and confirmed that filming had started in November 2021. To commemorate the happy occasion, we even received a photo from the cast reunion.

Gunn’s whole drama behind-the scenes is over. The filmmakers teased the release by saying that the trilogy was “huge” in terms the world it would reveal.

He also confirmed that the soundtrack was complete. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will bring an epic end to the trilogy. Here’s everything you need about the film.

Marvel has finally confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 would be released May 5, 2023. You can now officially begin your countdown.

Disney changed the release dates for every Phase 4 movie in October 2021. However, the sequels remained the same. We are hopeful that this is the case, and that it will be available in theaters by May 2023.

Gunn says that we will be seeing a Holiday Special on Disney+ December 2022. It sets up “one of the greatest MCU characters ever”, Gunn said. It will be filmed simultaneously with the third film.

Filming continues as usual, and will continue until April 2022, as noted.

Chris Pratt will be back as Star-Lord. Dave Bautista will play Drax. Karen Gillan will portray Nebula. Bradley Cooper will return as Rocket. Vin Diesel and Pom Klementieff will play Groot. We will see Zoe Saldana playing Gamora in Avengers: Endgame.

Gamora was thought to have been killed in Avengers: Infinity War. However, Endgame introduced Gamora from an earlier timeline, in 2014. She was then transported to 2023, where she lost her life after Tony Stark saved her.

Saldana stated that she would like to “explore Gamora the bad” in the Guardians 3 film. We are more than happy to see that.

The Guardians will return to screen in Thor: Love and Thunder, and we’ll be able to see them again before the third film. This could mean that we will also see Chris Hemsworth playing Thor in the third Guardians movie.

Gunn confirmed that Guardians 3 will take place after the Thor film. This could rule out a Thor crossover.

Sean Gunn is expected to reprise his role as Kraglin (Yondu’s former Ravager friend), and Elizabeth Debicki may also be returning as Ayesha. “I would love to return, even if it was for a brief moment. She said, “I mean, I would love to return.”

Stakar Sylvester Stallone also returns, which could indicate the return of his fellow Ravagers: Aleta Ord (Michelle Yeoh), Charlie 27 (Ving Rhames), Mainframe – voiced by Miley Cyrus – and Martinex (Michael Rosenbaum).

Will Poulter, who has been confirmed as Adam Warlock, is the most intriguing addition to this cast. Since he was shown in the Guardians Vol 2 credits scene, rumors have been swirling that he will be appearing in the MCU.

Poulter stated that he felt very lucky and honored to be accepted into the Marvel family.

“Especially in a franchise such as Guardians of the Galaxy. I find Guardians of the Galaxy very creative and very, very original. James Gunn is someone that I truly, really admire.

The Peacemaker Chukwudi Iwuji is also joining. Gunn said that Gunn was “one of the main characters in this film, and people were freaked out by how great this guy was.” “Really freaked out.”

We won’t be seeing Michael Rooker (except in flashbacks), as Yondu, the man who gave his life to save Star-Lord during the second film.

Gunn posted, “As you said before Yondu is dead and will stay dead as long as i am involved with Guardians,” “His passing meant a lot, and I won’t belittle him.”

Gunn promised that the film would be an “epic finale” to the story he began in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014).

Bautista will not be appearing in future films as Drax. The film will bring an end to the current team. Digital Spy was told by Bautista that Guardians 3 is his last obligation. That will likely be the end for Drax.

Bautista said that Drax could be played by other actors in the upcoming series, but Gunn believes Bautista is Drax, and no other actor can take his place.

It looks like Endgame will be followed by the third film, which will focus on Gamora’s search after she vanishes following the battle with Thanos.

Gunn stated that if he does not get to direct the third film, he will be disappointed because he didn’t finish Rocket’s story. Rocket will be back in the third film with more information, possibly even the complete backstory.

He teased that the third movie was “actually quite weighty”, and added: “It is a heavier story, so you have to experience an emotional process.”

Karen Gillan also agrees with this sentiment. She says she was “very emotional” when Pom Klementieff read the script. She exclaims, “It’s brilliant, it’s emotional, it’s funny, and it’s all you want it to,”

These are not the tears of grief because our Guardians dearest friends are about to go mad.
