Know What The Creator Says
Recently series creator Mike Flanagan was asked for season 3 by one of the fans. Responding to the fan Mike wrote “Currently there aren’t any plans for more chapters.
You never say never, obviously, but we’re currently focused on a whole range of other @intrepid projects for 2021 and beyond. If things change we will absolutely let everybody know!”
It is true that the statements from Mike are quite disappointing, but he still shows hope while writing “never say never”. The statements are clear that the production unit is not planning for season 3, but things can change.
How Is This Series Different From Other Horror?
Mike was successful in making a switch to horror. It is actually very difficult to maintain the state of fear amongst its opinions with a long series of just about 10 hours. Looking at the last decades it can be seen that, the horror genre was not so popular amongst viewers, but now it’s probably the most favorable.
For now the question is when. The second season- The Haunting Of Bly Manor was quite different from the season 1. In terms of horror, the second season was less scary and was more focused on the story of ruminating on love and the loss.
Mike Flanagan is working on the different other projects, as his post suggests. So it isn’t good to wait for the next renewal of the season soon.
