Carnival Row Season 2 and the final season of the fantasy show will be released on Amazon Prime Video quite soon. The new season will see conflicts between humanity as a result of an odd murder, which forces everybody to make a decision and choose sides.
The first season ended with the realization of Philo’s Fae identity, with the show’s creators Travis Beacham and Marc Guggenheim initially hinting that there will be more on that subject.
It’s undoubtedly one of the biggest seismic shocks to the series itself that happened at the conclusion of season 1, and it is something we’re looking forward to in season 2. And the difficulty for Philo is that it isn’t that easy for him to accept his status.
He is not fae, according to the fae. It is half of them. As a result, he is actually a person without a nation. He’s not human enough for humanity, but he is not Fae enough for the Fae either. It kind of belongs someplace that isn’t here, nor there.

Carnival Row season 1 recap *Warning: Spoilers*

The big shocker at the end of the first season was that Orlando Bloom’s Philo, who accompanies Vignette in the Carnival Row ghetto, is half-fairy.
And this is something that we are going to be facing and sensationalizing a lot in the second season. And the difficulty for Philo is that it’s not as easy as it seems for him to accept his fairy status. He is not fae, according to the fae. Nor is he purely human. It is stuck between them.
He also gave up his badge as a consequence of the choices he makes.
