NBC’s television sitcom ‘Grand Crew’ is just around the corner to arrive on NBC with Season 2. The plot of the series is set in LA and revolves around six friends who live the lives of young Black professionals while navigating relationships and career drama.

They are a hopelessly romantic Noah; Nicky, his sister who lives life to the fullest; unforeseen genius Sherm, career-oriented finance man Anthony, happily married to Wyatt, and recently divorced Fay who joins the crew recently while working at the place where the rest of the buddies hang around.

When Will Grand Crew Season 2 Release?

The series pilot was ordered on January 23, 2020, by NBC. The rest of the series was announced to be ordered on 12 January 2021. On 14 December the sitcom was released with two “sneak episodes”.

Most of the cast members were announced in March 2020 with Grasie Mercedes joining the cast on August 17, 2021.

The series was renewed in May 2022 for Grand Crew Season 2 which is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2023.

Echo Klum-
Echo Callum

Noah Koles, a hopeless romantic, who thinks his life is a romantic comedy and is in a rush to settle down really fast, is played by an American actor Echo Callum in the first season of the series.

He will also reprise this role in the upcoming second season. His other television credits include the American single-camera sitcom ‘Ben and Kate’ in which Kellum played Tommy from 2012 to 2013.

In the American sitcom, ‘Sean Saves the World’ he was cast as Hunter from 2013 to 2014. As Curtis Holt aka Mister Terrific, Kellum starred in the DC Comics superhero television series ‘Arrow’ from 2015 to 2020.

Nicole Byer-

Noah’s sister Nicky Koles is played by an American actress and comedian Nicole Byer in season 1 and will be reprized by her again in season 2.

From 2016 to 2018 she was cast as Nicole Byer in the American comedy television series ‘Loosely Exactly Nicole’ in addition to serving as a writer and producer for it.

Byer’s other television credits include ‘The Birthday Boys’, ‘Party Over Here’, ‘Big City Greens’, ‘Snoopy in Space’, ‘Tuca & Bertie’, ‘Rugrats’ etc. Since 2018, Byer has been hosting. the Netflix The television series “Nailed It!” for which she was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards.

American actor Justin Cunningham she starred and will reprise one of the gang’s married men- Wyatt Fields in the series.

Cunningham was cast as the adult Kevin Richardson in the 2019 crime drama miniseries ‘When They See Us’. He also appeared in the renowned police procedural series ‘Blue Bloods’.

Aaron Jennings-
Aaron Jennings

The accountant and vegan Anthony Holmes in the series is played by an American actor Aaron Jennings who will also take this role again next season.

Jennings previously starred in the American medical drama series ‘Pure Genius’ playing Dr. Malik Verlaine from 2016 to 2017. He also appeared in minor roles in some other television series.

Carl Tart-
Carl Tart

American actor and comedian Carl Tart played traveler Sherm Jones in the series and will reprise the role next season.

From 2015 to 2016 he took part in several recurring roles in the tv program ‘Comedy Bang! Bang!’. He also played the role of a featured player in the American sketch comedy series ‘Party Over Here’ in 2016.

He also appeared in the series ‘Bajillion Dollar Propertie$’, ‘Lethal Weapon’, ‘Rob Riggle’s Ski Master Academy’, etc.

Newly divorced friend group member Fay is played by American actress Grasie Mercedes in the series and will reprise the role next season. Mercedes previously appeared in minor roles in other series and will be taking part in ‘Two Roads’ and ‘La Petite Mort’.

American actress producer Maya Lynne Robinson is a recurring cast member of the series who will also presumably be back for a second season.

Robinson previously played Veena Williams-Conner in the American ABC sitcom.The Conners as a main cast member in the first season from 2018 to 2019 and as a guest cast in the third season in 2023. She was also cast in the role of the main character Michelle in the American CBS sitcom ‘The Unicorn’ from 2019 to 2021.

Robinson is also a stage actress whose major theater credits include ‘Insurrection: Holding History’, ‘In the Red and Brown Water’, ‘Disgraced’, ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’, etc.

The first season of the series got an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. According to ten credit reviews it received an average rating of eight out of ten. The cast of friends also received general approval, particularly Nicole Byer.
