British-Australian born Jamaican director-producer Stephen Hopkins directed the upcoming English-French TV series ‘Liaison’. The plot revolves around a contemporary thriller that unfolds in multi-layered and unpredictable actions navigating political and espionage intrigues that affect a passionate love story.
It follows from this how mistakes of the past can change and ruin the future. Although, the names of the characters haven’t been revealed yet, the cast members have already been announced.
When Will The First Season Of ‘Connection’ Release?
The series was first announced in June 2021 by Apple TV+. It is the platform’s first Anglo-French production. Virginie Brac wrote the script for the series with Gub Neal, Jean Benoit Gillig, Sarada McDermott, Ed Barlow, Justin Thomson, Eric Jollant, Joanie Blaikie serving as executive producers.
Director Stephen Hopkins also executive produced the series. Vincent Cassel and Eva Green were announced as main cast members in June 2021.
English actors Daniel Francis, Peter Mullan, Bukky Bakray and French actors Gérard Lanvin, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Stanislas Merhar, Laëtitia Eïdo, Thierry Frémont, Eriq Ebouaney have also joined the cast of the upcoming series.
Principal photography began in June 2021 in London. The series is scheduled to be released on February 24, 2023 on Apple TV+.

Vincent Cassel-
French actor Vincent Cassel will be one of the primary cast members of the upcoming series. His films include the 1995 French crime film ‘No Haine‘ in which he played the role of Vinz and was nominated for the César Award for Best Actor and Most Promising Actor.

For the 2008 two-part French biographical crime film ‘Mesrine’, Cassel portrayed the titular real-life French criminal Jacques Mesrine which earned him a number of accolades. In the popular American psychological horror film ‘Black Swan‘, Cassel played Thomas Leroy in 2010.
His other nominated film credits include ‘Partisan’, ‘My King’, ‘It’s Only the End of the World’, ‘The Specials’ etc. Cassel also gave voice to a number of animated films such as ‘Shrek’, ‘Ice’. Eva Green-
French actress and model Eva Green is the other main cast member of the upcoming series. In the 2011 historical fantasy drama series ‘CamelotGreen worked as part of the group cast playing Morgan Pendragon.
From 2014 to 2016 she was cast as Venessa Ives in the horror drama series ‘Penny Dreadful‘. Then in 2020 she took part in the role of Lydia Wells in the drama miniseries ‘The Luminaries’. Green’s film credits are ‘Kingdom of Heaven’, ‘Casino Royale’, ‘The Golden Compass’, ‘Dark Shadows’, ‘300: Rise of an Empire‘, ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ etc.
Peter Mullan-
