Stephanie “Pyet” Despain of Kansas, won $250,000, one year mentoring from all 3 cooks, and the position of Next Level Chef for the first season. Pyet, previously of Team Nyesha, impressed the judges with her meat and sweet potato meals, roasted rack of lamb with fingerling potatoes, green beans topped with prosciutto, and red wine preparation!
Pyet defeated Mariah Scott of Santa Clara, California, and Reuel Vincent of Trinidad and Tobago. Each of the 3 cooks had 90 minutes to prepare three spectacular courses: an appetizer, a fish dish, and a meat dish from the top kitchen.
