The eleventh Star Trek series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is all set to be released on DVD and other home media in the United States. It is part of the expanded Star Trek Universe of Alex Kurtzman and serves as a spin-off of the seventh television series “Star Trek: Discovery‘.

The plot of Strange New Worlds is set ten years before the events of ‘Star Trek: The Original Series’. It revolves around the starship USS Enterprise as its Captain Christopher Pike and other crew continue to explore new worlds across the galaxy.

The first season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds premiered on Paramount+ on May 5, 2022. It ran until July 7 for ten episodes. It is scheduled to be released on DVD, Limited Edition Steelbook, and Blu-Ray formats in the United States on March 21, 2023.

But this Home media release will also include an additional ninety minutes full of bonus features, deleted scenes, audio commentary, and a gag reel.

The first season won a Primetime Emmy nomination with several other awards. A second season is also in development and will presumably be released in 2023.
