The novel The Last Thing He Told Me is now being adapted for television by the book’s original author, Dave, in addition to Academy Award-winning screenwriter Josh Singer (Spotlight, The Post). The production is being produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine in association with 20th Television.
Along with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter, Jennifer Garner, Dave, and Bryan Singer serve as executive producers for the Hello Sunshine picture. The show is directed by Where the Crawdads Sing director Olivia Newman, who also serves as co-executive producer.
The initial photos give us a look at Garner and Rice’s characters, who seem to be having some kind of conversation inside an empty stadium. There is also a picture of Garner standing alone, looking perplexed after reading a mysterious note scrawled on some yellow paper.
