The American actor and musician, Johnny Depp, laments the news of the death of his guitarist friend Jeff Beck. He was the founding father of the Jeff Beck Group and Beck, Bogert & Appice.
Jeff Beck died on January 10th at the age of 78. It was revealed that Jeff died by contracting bacterial meningitis. The family of Jeff Beck has requested privacy as they’re going through a difficult time following the death of their beloved family member.
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean‘, the actor Johnny Depp, who is a close friend of Jeff, was next to him when he took his last breath. The actor is in great sorrow after hearing the news.
One of the sources said, “The two were really close and had a robust bond, and this past summer while they were on tour together, they became even closer. The disease developed quite quickly, and in the last weeks, everything got very worse. Johnny is still getting this information. He is heartbroken.”

On the list of 100 Greatest Guitarists published by Rolling Stone and other publications, Beck was listed amongst the top five. He was also known as “guitarist’s guitarist.” He has been hailed by Rolling Stone as “one of the most influential lead guitarists in rock.”
