Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre mentions three of his most famous stories that will be included in the series in his Netflix intro from June: TommySouichi’s Happy Diary, and The Hanging Bubbles.
Tomie, one of Junji Ito’s Ito’s first stories, is about the titular immortal beauty who drives men to murder and insanity and appeared in the two subsequent beauties. Netflix official clips, including what appears to be the title sequence, with the opening song “Paranoid” by MADKID, who previously worked on Rise of the Shield Hero.

It is a sophisticated revenge story that relies only on psychological components to reach its open ending. While the outcome of the main character’s ultimate stay is never revealed, it is obvious that it’ll not be positive.
