Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre mentions three of his most famous stories that will be included in the series in his Netflix intro from June: TommySouichi’s Happy Diary, and The Hanging Bubbles.

Tomie, one of Junji Ito’s Ito’s first stories, is about the titular immortal beauty who drives men to murder and insanity and appeared in the two subsequent beauties. Netflix official clips, including what appears to be the title sequence, with the opening song “Paranoid” by MADKID, who previously worked on Rise of the Shield Hero.

Indeed, her character is visually appealing, disturbing, and probably the most well-known amongst Junji Ito’s fans. There are currently 9 Tomie manga installments and several adaptations, including an 8-part live action series.
