Oppenheimer is undoubtedly probably the most anticipated films of this year and there are various reasons for that, obviously, we have the iconic story behind it, a real story that shaped the world to what it’s today, but we even have some truly incredible actors starring in the film.

From Cillian Murphy to Robert Downey Junior and the director himself, Christopher Nolan, they’re all masters of their craft, so the hype behind the film was quite apparent.

We even have super talented actor Matt Damon in the movie and The Martian actor revealed that he was about to take a break before he got a call to do Oppenheimer.

In an interview with Digital SpyMatt Damon has stated that he has had ongoing discussions with his wife for a long time about taking a break from acting for quite some time.

Matt will appear in the role of Leslie Groves, the director of the Manhattan Project that led to the creation of the first Atomic Bomb; the actor said that he worked with Nolan before in Interstellar and he has a good relationship with Nolan, who he had partially informed a few project but Matt wasn’t sure about.

Matt also said that he went to couples therapy with his wife where he kept only an exception and that he’s getting a phone call from Nolan, even though Matt wasn’t too sure about Nolan’s plans either since he tends to call the worst when nobody knows if he’s working on something.

However, the film is about to hit the theaters and plenty of fans already believe that it’s straight-up going to the Oscars, the plot revolves around the character of the theoretical physicist J Robert Oppenheimer, who is taken into account the father of the atomic bomb.
