The show became an instant hit as it premiered on Amazon Prime Video on November 16, 2018, and was later renewed for a second season that premiered on October 22, 2020.

Mirzapur Season 3: Possible Plot

As the fundamental premise of the action-crime thriller revolves around drugs, guns, murders and anarchy in the city of Mirzapur and its neighboring towns, Kaleen Bhaiya ( Pankaj Tripathi) appears to be the mastermind of this crime prevalent in the purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. It also focuses on the dealings of Kaleen Bhaiya and his son Munna with Pandit brothers Guddu and Bablu.

As previously introduced to the Tripathi family in season 1, the family included Kaleen Bhaiya, Munna, Bauji (Satyanand Tripathi), and Beena Tripathi (Kaleen Bhaiya’s wife and Munna’s stepmom). Although Beena appeared to be a loyal and devoted wife in addition to a good stepmother, the show presented Kaleen Bhaiya does nothing for his second wife and couldn’t satisfy his wife’s bedroom desires.

Mirzapur Season 3: Kaleen Bhaiya’s first wife story

Mirzapur Season 3 Details

Although he didn’t say anything about Kaleen Bhaiya’s first wife who is Munna Tripathy’s mother in the first two seasons. It is still not clear and perhaps the writers deliberately marked this section or they have already got a story or they want more time to develop that character that either the couple separated or died.

Fans are anticipating that they can find out about Munna’s mother in the third installment between all the crimes and mysteries with a plot twist that takes place in the series.

Although nothing related to Munna’s mother was shown directly in the series Kaleen Bhaiya keeps mentioning his first marriage as he seems to show his immense love for his son Munna.

There were darker theories swirling around this plot from fans as they too felt that Bauji (Satyanand Tripathy) would leave Kaleen’s first wife with Munna because of Kaleen Bhaiya’s infertility problems. This would either lead Bauji to kill her or she herself could heal because of the disgrace Bauji delivered to her character. Interestingly, this makes Munna and Kaleen siblings rather than a father-son duo.

There are also many questions about the character of Robin Agarwal and her mother who keeps talking about her and also referred to her mysterious death in the second season.

It will be quite interesting that what the writers have in store for season 3 of Mirzapur. Until then you can catch season 1 and 2 above Amazon Prime Video.
