Paul Leyden directed the spiritual sequel to the 2013 ‘RIPD movie- ‘RIPD 2: Rise of the Damned’. The script for the upcoming film is written by Andrew Klein with Leyden.
The first film was directed by Robert Schwentke and was adapted from the comic of the same name by Peter M. Lenkov written in 1999. It featured Ryan Reynolds (Nick Walker) and Jeff Bridges (Roy Pulsipher) as the two main characters.
The sequel is not precisely a continuation of the 2013 film and does not bring back Reynolds and Bridges either. In that place, Jeffrey Donovan was cast as Sheriff Roy Pulsipher in the upcoming film.
