Ebenezer Scrooge is a fictional character and the protagonist of A Christmas carol (1843) by Charles Dickens Despite his transformation at the end of the story, The character is remembered as the naughty father and not as a reformed sinner and Scrooge entered the English language as a synonym for evil.

Scrooge: A Christmas Carol is a play about Ebenezer Scrooge a mean and egocentric old man who hates the Christmas festival. One cold Christmas Eve Scrooge is mean to people who work for him.

He refuses to give Charity and then he’s impolite to his nephew when they invite him to spend the feast of Jesus which is nothing but Christmas. He behaved very rudely with his nephew when the nephew asked him to spend time with him during the Christmas festival.

As for Ebenezer Scrooge, the character is believed to have been inspired by several people mainly the eccentric miserly moneylender John. Scrooge is alleged to have been inspired by several real life people including money under John Elwes.

Ebenezer Scrooge fell in love with a young woman named Belly and proposed marriage but little by little his love for Belly was overcome by his love for money Belly realized this and hated his Creed which left him in ‘One Christmas ultimately marries another man.

Scrooge’s character goal:

The defining aspect of the character in his remarkable transformation as labeled from a businessman to a good man as “the good old City knew”. It can be sure or given that it’s used by Dickens to symbolize a larger message that goes beyond his own character.

This movie is especially about how a greedy man turns into a good man through everyday situations. The moral of Scrooge: A Christmas Carol is that the pursuit of money won’t make a person happy, Scrooge dedicates his life to an incredible good but in doing so he loses the joy of family and friendship.
