Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King was scheduled to be released last month in March, however, as a result of some reasons, the film was delayed.

Black Clover, the hugely successful anime series, has been put on hiatus since its season 4 conclusion in March 2021.

Although season 5 is still in the works, fans can revisit the Clover Kingdom soon with the upcoming movie Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King.

After the startling cliffhanger, fans have been eagerly waiting to find out what happens next.

Yuki Tabata, the creator of Black Clover, will return as a supervisor for the upcoming film. His first expression about the new film was that he wanted the story to be incorporated into the original manga, implying that the film doesn’t copy stories from the manga that inspired it but rather fits into the history of Black Clover .

Although Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King is not a canon manga, it can still connect to the movie with new anime storylines that reflect the events of the movie. Fans should simply watch the film and enjoy it, irrespective of its significance to the manga storyline, with the approval and support of Tabata.

What is the release date of the movie ‘Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King’?

Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King was supposed to be released on March 16, 2023, however, it was pushed back as a result of COVID-19 problems during production.

Thankfully, the postponements only delayed the release by a few months; the film will premiere only on Netflix globally on June 16, 2023.

What is the story?

The initial film in the Black Clover franchise, Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, will present a wholly new plot.

Asta and the Black Bulls will face dangerous enemies as the security of the empire is at stake. Asta wants to join forces with an old friend who is a member of the Golden Dawn. Conrad Leto, the magician king who precedes Julius Novachrono, reappears.

Conrad Leto was the adored Wizard King of the Magic Kingdom, but he lost all respect from his people when he chose a mutiny against the government and was imprisoned.

In this film, he returns with an oath to use the Imperial Sword to resurrect three of the most feared Wizard Kings in history.

He intends to resurrect Edward Avalaché, Princia Funnybunny, and Jester Garandaros in order to rule the magical realm. With Julius Novachrono unable to save the magical realm, the responsibility rests on Asta and the remaining magical wizards.

Can Aasta and the Black Bulls come out victorious in this battle? We will simply must wait and see how this tense conflict unfolds.
