Charles Shyer directed the romantic comedy film ‘The Noel Diary’ starring ‘The Young and the Restless star Justin Hartley. The plot is adapted from the American author’s ‘The Noel Diary.
Shyer previously directed Academy Award-nominated films such as ‘Smokey and the Bandit’, ‘Private Benjamin’, and ‘The Affair of the Necklace’.
The Noel Diary Plot
Any precise premise of the upcoming film has not yet been known, but the little that has been deciphered is that the film revolves around a man named Jake Turner and a lady named Rachel.
Jake Turner is a renowned author who returns to his mother’s estate at Christmas. There he finds a diary that holds unknown facts about his past and also a few young woman named Rachel who is on a journey of her own. But as their fates coincide, they embark on a journey together to discover an unexpected future.

American actor Justin Hartley will be seen portraying Jake Turner in the upcoming film. Hartley played Blaine Balbo in the comedy film ‘Senior Year’ which was released in mid-2022. His other film credits include ‘Red Canyon’, ‘Spring Breakdown’, ‘The Challenger’, ‘A Bad Moms Christmas’, ‘Little’, ‘Jexi’, ‘And the Exchange’.
Hartley portrayed Nicholas Foxworth Crane aka Fox on the NBC soap opera ‘Passions’ from 2002 to 2006. As DC superhero Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow he was cast in the superhero television series ‘Smallville’ from 2006 to 2011.
Then from 2012 to 2013, Hartley played the lead role of Will Collins in The CW’s medical drama series Emily Owens, MD’ and from 2013 to 2014 the recurring role of Patrick Osbourne in ‘Revenge’ whose plot was inspired by ‘The Count’. of Monte Cristo’ by Alexandre Dumas.
As Scott Trosman was cast in the mystery drama soap opera ‘Mistresses’ from 2014 to 2016. At the same time, Hartley also played the role in the Adam Newman CBS soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless. From 2016 to 2022 Hartley played Kevin Pearson in the NBC family drama ‘This Is Us.

The character of Rachel will be played by American actress and singer Barrett Doss in the upcoming film. Doss played Megan in the 2017 MCU television series ‘Iron Fist’.
