The Takedown (French: Loin du périph) is an upcoming French comedy film directed by Louis Leterrier and written by Stéphane Kazandjian. It is a sequel to the 2012 film On the Other Side of the Bracks, and stars Omar Sy and Laurent Lafitte (reprising their roles from the previous film), with Izïa Higelin. The film is scheduled to release on 6 May 2022 Netflix.

In March 2021, Louis Leterrier announced that he will be directing the film, and it is going to be released on Netflix.

About the movie The Takedown

Two Police Officers Ousmane Diakite and Francois Monge are very different from one another both in their Personal and Professional lives.

They are forced to work together again on a murder case in the French city but both haven’t any idea what’s going on. They will be caught up in a far more dangerous Criminal Conspiracy.

They were appointed to investigate an easy drug case but it turns out to be something bigger than that, the film is made in a light comedy way, so that the viewers can enjoy the drug mystery with a little fun.

What to expect

The movie is completely filled with action and we can see 2 completely different copies with different principles working together in a drug case, as seen in the trailer you can see an intense car chase scene and one of the cars overturns on the edge of the mountain. Apart from the action, it also has some humor which makes it more interesting to watch.
