Top 10 movies to watch on Prime Video: Amazon Prime Video is among the leading streaming platforms today.

Since it is virtually the middle of the year, a number of new movies have already been released. Following is a list of other new and old movies coming to Prime Video that are coming out in the month of May.

Fatal Attraction (1987)-

Adrian Lyne directed this American psycho-thriller film based on his own short film from 1980-‘Deviation‘.

The plot revolves around a married lawyer who enters into an extramarital affair with one of his colleagues as the latter becomes obsessed with the affair and decides to do whatever it takes to sabotage the marriage.

Michael Douglas and Glenn Close portraying the main characters in the film Dan Gallagher and Alex Forrest with Close being nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress.

Anne Archer who played Dan’s wife Beth was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

The film was initially released in the United States on September 18, 1987. It arrived on Prime Video on May 1 of this year.

The Adventures of Tintin (2011)-

Steven Spielberg directed this computer-animated action adventure film that’s adapted from the popular Hergé comic book series of the same name.

The plot revolves around the young reporter and titular character Tintin whose dog finds a scroll in a model ship that Tintin buys and leads him on an adventure with Captain Haddock.

Jamie Bell he voiced the character of Tintin in the film. The film was released in the United States on December 21, 2011. It also arrived on Prime Video on May 1 of this year.

The Doors (1991)-

Among the massive number of films that arrived on Prime on May 1, there’s the biographical representation of the “Electric Poet”, the singer of the sixties rock band – Jim Morrison.

The film depicts Morrison’s early life as a film student and his rise to fame as the lead singer and songwriter of the titular band and his early death at the age of ‘ 27 years.

American actor Val Kilmer portrays Jim Morrison in the film. It was initially released on March 1, 1991.

True Grit (2010)-

Joel Coen and Ethan Coen directed this American Western film which is adapted from the 1968 novel of the same name by Charles Portis.

The plot revolves around a group of three people – a fourteen-year-old girl who sets out to find her father’s killer, a bored US Marshall, and a Texas Ranger who joins them. But their mission tests the trio’s true mettle as they search for justice.

Hailee Steinfeld, Jeff Bridgesand Matt Damon starred fourteen-year-old Mattie Ross, Deputy US Marshal Rooster, and Texas Ranger LaBoeuf with Bridges and Steinfeld being nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Actress in a Supporting Role respectively.

The film was initially released in the United States on December 22, 2010. It was also released on Prime Video on May 1.

Until (2022)-

Chinonye Chukwu directed this biographical drama film. The plot revolves around the relentless search for justice of Mamie Till-Mobley whose son Emmett Till was brutally lynched at the age of fourteen while traveling to Mississippi to visit -his cousins ​​in 1955.

Danielle Deadwyler shown to Mamie with Jalyn Hall plays Emmett. The film was released on October 14, 2022, in the United States. It is anticipated to arrive on Prime Video on May 9 this year.

She Said (2022)-

Maria Schrader directed this biographical drama film which is based on a report published by New York Times reporters Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey a couple of number of allegations of sexual abuse against Harvey Weinstein, a robust Hollywood producer who served as the launch of the revolutionary. #MeToo movement.

Zoe Kazan and Carey Mulligan shown to Kantor and Twohey respectively in the film. It was released in the United States on November 18, 2022, and will arrive on Prime Video on May 19 this year.

Three Thousand Years of Longing (2022)-

George Miller directed this romantic fantasy drama film which is adapted from AS Byatt’s short story titled ‘The Djinn in the Nightingale’s Eye’.

The plot centers around a professor who releases a genie from a bottle who then tells her his experiences and stories from his life of thousands of years.

Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba shown to Professor Alithea Binnie and the djinn respectively in the film. It was released in the United States on August 26, 2022. It will be available for streaming on Prime Video from May 23 this year.

Violent Night (2022)-

Tommy Wirkola directed this Christmas action comedy film whose plot revolves around Santa Claus fighting mercenaries and freeing a rich family from being held hostage by them.

David Harbour shown to Santa Claus in the film. It was released in the United States on December 2, 2022. On May 26 the film will arrive on Prime Video.

Top Five (2014)-

Chris Rock directed this comedy film that centers around an established actor who reconnects with his passion for stand-up comedy after meeting a famous journalist.

It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, 2014, and will be available to stream from May 28 on Prime Video.

Hot Pursuit (2015)-

This Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara starring action comedy film revolves around a police officer who tries to protect the widow of a drug lord through Texas.

The film was initially released by Warner Bros. Pictures on May 8, 2015. It will arrive on Prime Video on May 29 of this year.
