Noah Harpster and Micah Fitzerman-Blue created the upcoming American drama limited series ‘Painkiller’.

The series is adapted from Barry Meier’s book ‘Pain Killer: An Empire of Deceit and the Origin of America’s Opioid Epidemic’ and Patrick Radden Keefe’s New Yorker article- “The Family That Built an Empire of Pain”. The Painkiller plot will focus on the opioid crisis and OxyContin manufacturer Purdue Pharma.

When ‘Painkiller’ Releases on Netflix?

The production of the Painkiller series, directed by Peter Berg, lasted from April to November 2021. It is anticipated to be released on Netflix on August 10, 2023.
