Ahsoka is a beloved character and has been praised as a strong female character within the Star Wars universe. She was a Jedi member, but she left the Order in Clone Wars season 5, despite her later return to the Empire.
Hence Ahsoka Tano’s departure from the Jedi Order.
Ahsoka’s departure from the Jedi Order
Ahsoka Tano has left the Jedi because she was falsely charged with a crime, and she had lost faith in them. She didn’t believe in them and their practice any more.
Prior to the rise to monarchy, Jedi were respected members of society and worked with the Republic to maintain peace in the galaxy. They were committed and responsible for their goals and work. Anakin was one of a few who were allowed to join the Order. It is rare for members to leave the Order. Ahsoka’s interesting and fascinating decision makes it a unique one.
Aksoka was summoned to investigate the bombing at the Jedi temple towards the end of Clone Wars. Ahsoka is wrongly identified as the primary suspect after a series of suspicious events. She manages to escape to Coruscant’s underworld, but she is eventually captured and hunted down by the Jedi and Coruscant Guard. She is brought before the edi Council and, despite Ahsoka’s and Padme’s arguments about why she would murder an innocent person. The council ignores them and orders her exile.
Anakin Skywalker and Asajj Ventress manage to capture Barriss Offee the real culprit. He is a friend and trusted ally of Ahsoka and a Jedi. She revealed to Ahsoka that she had framed Barriss Offee because Jedi are hypocritical soldiers who resist and are not peacekeepers. She went on to claim that the Jedi are becoming the Sith.
Ahsoka is then cleared by the Jedi Council and they meet up again to confer the title of Jedi Knight. Instead of apologizing and admitting to their mistakes, they tell Ahsoka this was a test and she can rejoin Jedi Order. She refuses the title, disillusioned at hearing it, and she leaves the Jedi to choose her path.
We can see that the Jedi didn’t trust her after everything she had done. Only Anakin, Padme, and the clone trooper Capt. Rex stood by her. They were supposed to raise her and help her but, in the moment that really mattered they turned their backs on her and expelled them from the Order based on circumstantial evidence.
She realized that they could easily disown her despite the fact that she was committed to them. She became disillusioned, and decided to leave a group that didn’t believe in her. Ahsoka might have made the right decision to leave the Jedi Order, since she may also have fallen prey to Order 66.
