Cuties 2 Updates: The controversial Netflix movie of 2020 Cuties (Mignonnes In French) faced plenty of criticism about the story in addition to the poster, even people went on Twitter to show their objection and asked Netflix to remove the poster.
The French coming-of-age drama is the creation of Maïmouna Doucouré, who won the Directing Award after the film premiered in the 2020 World Cinema Dramatic Competition section. Sundance Film Festival on January 23rd. Netflix aired Cuties on September 9, 2020.
Cuties 2 Controversy and Sequel:
Initially, the film received enough positive responses, but the release of the poster made all the difference and received a political backlash. Even a few social and political groups showed their disagreement, saying that the sexual film pre-adolescent girls, and this will leave a bad impact on the audience.

The Plot:
The story of Cuties revolves around the pre-adolescent protagonist, Amy, who moved to Paris with her mother and two sisters but waits for their father as he’s bringing his second wife home. Tired and disgusted by the condition of her family, she discovers her neighbor Angelica’s dance troupe, Cutiesand continues to become a member of the team.
The members, who come from the same age group, don’t return to wearing revealing clothes for their performances. Amy, from her immaturity, takes a big step to sexualize herself in front of the entire school and is ultimately rejected by her classmates and ‘Cuties‘.
Gradually, she comes to her senses and realizes her mistakes and decides to lead her life without the stress of her distraught family or that of the dance troupe.
The rating on IMDb was also poor, with only 2.4/10. Apart from the controversy, the viewers also complain that the film failed to make a suitable narrative and build a robust structure. There is a big problem with the movie, but nobody can determine the solution.
